Calle Carmen Construction 4

Hello Folks, I am back with more photography of the Calle Carmen construction workers across the street from where I live in live in downtown Santiago, Chile. I have a pretty good perspective seeing as how I live on the eleventh floor of my apartment building. These guys have been at it for a couple years with long interruptions for riots and pandemic quarantines.  

This guy is setting gangways crossing the template frames for the cement walls to come with the pouring of the cement in a day or so.

This guy is clamping wall templates together.

These guys are running lines plastic lines for different things like water and plumbing.

Taking a break from tying rebar.

Tying rebar.

Rebar getting delivered via crane.

More material flying on in with the crane.

Bringing in the tops of the wall frames.

Setting it into place.

And tying in the rebar through the top frame plate.

Here comes a frame.

 This guy is setting frames for the cement to cover the rebar and make walls.

At this point in the construction it is easier to swing in liquids rather than climb ten flights of starts to the roof.

Here the crane is swinging in what we think is a wall for a swimming pool.

Hi Folks,

I am back again with some more images of the construction workers across the street from my apartment. These guys spend most of the day bent over and the colorful cloth hanging down off their helmets is to beat back the sun from their heads as they work on the final floor of the building ten stories up. As you can see the pandemic protocols are in effect with most guys covering up with masks. 

These workers are trying rebar and running red and blue water lines between the rebar. They tie everything down that needs to get tied down prior to getting cemented. 

Liquids were flew it to the guys via crane as they toiled away.

There is a lit of climbing associated with this job as you can see.
