Hello Folks,
I know it has been a long time since I last blogged but with a completely loaded memory card on my cheap Iphone, I decided to download and edit the images I have been gathering. Low res imagery is not really my 'thing' but since Dennis and Maxine both inquired when I would start taking images again I decided to show these photos. I have really not been into 'cityscape' photography these days but I think I captured the essence of Santiago, Chile where I live. I went from residing in the middle of nowhere in a tiny studio shack along the Merced River in El Portal, CA just outside of Yosemite National Park to living on the 11th floor of this big red building on the left side of this image. What a swing to say the least.
Enjoy!
The glorious day that the wall was going to fall down at the construction site and so they closed our street to all the traffic. Such quiet is to be adored here in this very loud town.
This is our dog Chiquita who is always and I mean always underfoot. This images was taken next to my bed. She lies there just in case I might go to the kitchen where she is on the never ending prowl for anything that hits the ground.
What's that the keys rattling at the door?
There is the ancient hill across the main boulevard called the Santa Lucia where the native held off the Spanish in pitch battles with warriors like this guy with the sling shot.
Alas, the Spanish eventually won the war and turned the hill into a fortress.

On holidays or birthdays the family all get together at the family house with the large backyard in a barrio called Quinta Normal for big asados(barbques) We usually fit in like 50 people for these events and new babies are showing up each month it seems.
