Flower Bloom On The Northern California Coast

 Hello folks,

It's been a long time since I posted but I have not really been taking that many photos lately for various reasons. At any rate, I did manage to bring my camera with me to California on my recent trip there to do a little work in Portland and then some down time along the awesome California coast near Petrolia right on the upper edge of the Lost Coast National Park. I hope you like the photos I took.

My favorite mode of transportation. My trusty steed.

Elephant seals way way out on an ocean rock.

If one zooms way into this image you can see that the seal has its eyes closed and seems to be sleeping.

Cormorants doing what they do best...sunning themselves on an ocean rock.

Pelicans galore!

Looks like a Redwood stump to me.

A couple of folks hiking along the coast.

There were a multitude of different flowers, succulents and cactus growing singular and in beautiful bouquets on the steep rocky faces overlooking the ocean that I managed to zoom in on and make some nice photographers of.

Some nice lichen on top of some rock.

One of the lovely bouquets of flowers hidden high up on the rocks.

A young Spike grazes.

That fog bank sits off the coast all day long and then comes in towards the end of the day.

Looking out from the cave.

The road out of Petrolia

I also lug my cel phone with me on bike rides and came across these lovely sites.

Sunset over the Mattole River as the fog come bursting in.

And my favorite breakfast and dinner was sought after and found.
The ole Chicken fried steak with potatoes, biscuit and scrambled eggs.

And to finish the day off a Chile relleno with carne asada enchilada, rice, black beans, chips.
